The faculty of civil engineering and surveying at the technical university of Munich awarded honorary doctorate to Hans G. Huber for his outstanding engineering achievements in the field of technical environmental protection. Hans G. Huber is the managing director of Hans Huber AG, Berching and winner of the German Environmental Award 2006.

The Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU), one of Europe's largest foundations that promotes innovative and exemplary environmental projects, awards the Deutschen Umweltpreis 2006 (German Environmental Award 2006) to Hans G. Huber, member of the board of directors of the Hans Huber AG, for his innovative decentralised wastewater treatment technology.
Hans G. Huber receives the highest endowed European environmental award for outstanding achievements in global environmental protection for his great commitment to developing and successfully promoting high-quality, reliable technologies for fresh water and wastewater treatment, especially also in emerging and developing countries.

Huber Technology Prize 2003/2004 Award

On the occasion of the DeSa/RŪ-Symposium that took place on 14th July 2004 the Huber Technology Prize 2003/2004 was awarded for the best proposals submitted on the subject of "Nature-orientated wastewater treatment technology for developing countries". The renowned jury of experts had selected four papers from the various interesting and promising presentations submitted by students of German universities and technical colleges.

DeSa/R - Means to achieve the millenium goal for sanitation
We do need new technologies to cope with the challenges we are faced with in the field of water supply and wastewater disposal, to provide clean drinking water and ensure sanitary disposal of wastewater.
That is why we want to present such new technologies to the public at our symposium that takes place in Berching on 14th July 2004 and is initiated by the Hans Huber AG in cooperation with internationally renowned experts in the field of wastewater treatment. Such new technologies and concepts are able to respond to the possibilities and necessities of different markets and their specific requirements, viewing the water and wastewater problem in its entirety and under the aspect of sustainability.
